Steve is the Founder of Dream Believe Succeed. He is a serial entreprenuer involved in various industries. Steve set up the award with the aim to raise awareness among the region’s youth and develop an entrepreneurial spirit. He started the award as a way to give back to fellow young entrepreneurs much like himself when he was younger.

Geoff Cranko

Geoff has been managing and growing companies on a global basis for 30 years. A advocate of long term strategy, clear communication and effective marketing, he believes strongly in developing young people through exposure to real world experiences. With a holistic approach to business combined with both large corporates and entrepreneurial start up experience.

Areas of expertise: strategic direction and practical business advice at all levels.

Geoff is the Group Managing Partner of Strategy, an international network of brand and business experts. As well he is Chair of NV Interactive, an internationally awarded digital agency, a director of several national businesses, Chair of the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation and Trustee of both ARA Foundation and Dream Believe Succeed Foundation.

Gerard Dale

Gerard specialises in corporate and commercial law across a wide range of industry sectors. His clients include start ups, corporates and joint ventures, not-for-profits, iwi and ministries/departments of the Crown.

Areas of expertise: governance, structuring, capital raising and debt funding, compliance, contracting and risk identification and mitigation strategies.

Gerard is recognised as one of the South Island’s leading lawyers. He is a partner with Lane Neave and leads the firm’s national corporate practice.

Imogene Lomax

Imogene is a Customer Manager at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise. Over the course of her career she has run businesses, built regional businesses from the ground up, and is currently working with businesses to help them grow internationally.

Areas of expertise: Strategy and planning, business/go to market models, marketing and communications, sales, HR, customer experience, IT/digital.

Alex Skinner

Alex is a professional director sitting on 6 boards from a range of different industries. He left KPMG in 2016 as a partner of 12 years in the external audit and risk management side of the business. Qualified CA and Chartered member of the IOD.

Areas of expertise: finance, accounting, risk management, setting up controls and processes, operating in different business sectors/structures, strategy, communication, managing relationships.
